Toronto Sailing and Canoe
Club(TSCC) Outrigger Group continues to host this international
event. Already the largest outrigger canoe race in eastern
Canada, in 2009 the Toronto Harbour International Challenge had 220
competitors. Over the past 5 years, the field has included current and
former Canadian and American National paddling team members, crews from
all the outrigger clubs in the Greater Toronto area, as well as several
crews from the United States and Europe.
In 2008, we were
honoured to have legendary Hawaiian paddlers Nappy and Anona Napoleon
attend our event and conduct a clinic. In 2007, John Puakea,
Danny Ching and Aaron Napoleon also conduct clinics plus joined in the
races.

In
2006, we were proud to become part of the East Coast Outrigger Racing
Association schedule and our OC-6 races are part of their Point-Series
